The German automotive magazine Auto Bild and Continental has recently sponsored an event that aims to determine the most fastest tuned car. The event took place in a race track located at the Italian city of Nardo.The group of contenders is made up of different auto tuners around the world including Sportec, Brabus, 9ff, TechArt, Hohenester and others. The 9ff’s Porsche 997 Cabrio bags the title of the world’s fastest tuned car when it accelerated with a top speed of 380.5 km/h (236.43 mph), thanks to 9ff’s 780-horsepower engine. The 9ffs Porsche 997 Cabrio also sets up a world record for the fastest convertible.
Head of 9ff, Jan Fatthauer commented:
"We wanted to do justice to our reputation as tuners who resist physics; an aim we have accomplished. But, that was clear from the start.”
